Russia's team of 360 athletes for Baku 2015 features seven Olympic champions.
The Russians can expect to compete for medals in a number of sports at the Baku 2015 European Games, especially those in which they have Olympic gold medallists competing.
Shooter Alexei Alipov is a two-time gold medallist, winning Men's Trap at Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008.
Paddlers Alexander Dyachenko and Yury Postrigay teamed up to capture K2 200m gold at London 2012.
Artistic gymnast Aliya Mustafina won the London 2012 Uneven Bars title while also picking up a team silver medal and winning All-Around and Floor bronze medals.
The Russian Fencing team will be paced by Anna Sivkova, the Team Épée gold medallist from Athens 2004 and a three-time Team world champion.
Two Russian Freestyle wrestlers will have the experience of winning Olympic gold to call upon at Baku 2015. Khadjimurat Gatsalov won a gold medal in the 96kg weight category at Athens 2004 while Natalia Vorobieva picked up 72kg gold at London 2012.
