Over 6,500 people in Azerbaijan to vote in Turkey’s parliamentary election

Turkish citizens in Azerbaijan will be able to vote in Turkey’s parliamentary election on May 31, from 10:00 am to 19:00 (UTC/GMT +5 hours), Turkey’s Central Election Commission said May 28.

It will be possible to vote at Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan, as well as in the country’s consulates in Ganja and Nakhchivan.

As many as 6,558 Turkish citizens in Azerbaijan have the right to vote in Turkey’s upcoming parliamentary election. Of them, 5,916 have been registered in Turkish embassy in Baku, 340 people in the consulate in Ganja and the rest – in the consulate in Nakhchivan.

Turkey will hold parliamentary election on June 7 with participation of 20 political parties and 53,765,231 voters will take part in the voting.

Moreover, 2.9 million Turkish citizens will vote in the polling stations abroad. For this purpose, 112 polling stations will be created at the country’s embassies in 54 countries.
