P5+1 international mediators’ group continues talks with Tehran on the Iranian nuclear program, which can take several days, said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini that coordinates the consultations, RIA Novosti news agency reported.

“We continue to negotiate, in these hours, you can see that the ministers leave in order to come back,” she told reporters. “We will continue to negotiate. But this does not mean that we delay the deadline.”

Mogherini went on to add that she personally will remain in Vienna until the end of the negotiation process.

Representatives from Iran and the P5+1 – the US, Russia, China, Britain, France, and Germany – are engaged in intense negotiations in the Austrian capital of Vienna to reach an agreement with Iran over its nuclear program.

The two sides extended their self-imposed end-of-June deadline for a comprehensive deal to July 7, however a source close to Iranian nuclear negotiating team said that the final deadline for the Iran-P5+1 nuclear talks is extended again till July 9.
