Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. No one is immune from negative cases, millions of people will vote on the election day. Low election commission members, candidates, observers may cause unpleasant cases,” said chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov, APA reported.
He called on the whole society to cooperate with the commission to give an immediate reaction to and eliminate any negative case.
“International organizations too are supposed to closely observe the process to determine what is right and what is wrong. An international observer may heard about some violation, but it needs to know that it has only heard about but has not seen it,” he said.
Panahov noted that in order for the elections results not to be suspicious they need to cooperate with election commissions.
“I sent an official letter for international organizations. International observers must present concrete facts to investigate because what are generally said are usually of little importance. We are trying to cooperate with international organizations rather than to criticize them. International observers have to meet concrete requirements. I invite them to present violations through media representatives. Violations in elections are also commonplace in western countries, so there needs to be a fair approach. They can only make a statement about what they have seen. I’d like to note another issue for the first time. We do not investigate anonymous requests that are in fact not to be considered according to the election law. But we have always respected international organizations and investigated their requests,” said Mazahir Panahov.
