Bank of China is interested in conducting cooperation with the Axiom Bank of Iran.
In a meeting with Iran’s Bank Saderat President Ali Saleh Abadi, Bank of China Middle East Director Chai Chunyan said Bank Saderat is Iran’s third most powerful bank, IRIB news agency reported August 30.
He also called for information exchange in order to present a more precise and effective marketing.
2015 reports say Bank of China is the fourth most powerful bank in the world in terms of assets.
The officials of the two banks also discussed opportunities for cooperation after economic sanctions on Iran are lifted.
Salehabadi pointed to a draft contract between the two and said that a new chapter in relations with China has opened.
“We welcome the new chapter and the two banks will start their cooperation afresh after sanctions are lifted,” he said.
