Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism has worked out the “Strategy for developing tourism in Azerbaijan for 2016-2025”, the ministry said Sept.3.
This document reflects the current situation in Azerbaijan’s tourism sphere, its development potential, the government’s role in developing tourism, forms and methods of cooperation, as well as a number of other important elements and recommendations.
In order to turn Azerbaijan into an attractive and successful place for tourism, the strategy envisages forming policy in this sphere based on four core principles such as creating favorable economic conditions for developing this sphere, diversity of tourism products, improving the industrial standards and maintaining public interest in tourism, according to the ministry.
The “Strategy for developing tourism in Azerbaijan for 2016-2025” has been submitted for approval by the relevant structure and is currently under review.
