Aydan portrait painting by Azerbaijani artist Tahir Salahov is poised to bring as much as 250,000-350,000 British Pounds as the work will be bought in London at Sotheby's on December 1 as part of the series encompassing three centuries of the Russian art. Another version of Aydan is kept at Russia’s State Tretyakov Gallery. The presented version was made specifically for a solo exhibition in Tokyo. A stamp with the image of the portrait was issued in Russia in 2011.
