Azerbaijan’s Lokomotiv and Azerrail Baku are crossing their ways on Wednesday afternoon for a real derby in the second round of action of the 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women. The match is due to start at 6pm local time in Baku.
Lokomotiv Baku lost their opening match in Europe’s elite competition two weeks ago when they played Russia’s champions Dinamo Kazan and so will be vying for their first victory in Pool A in order to keep their chances of making the Playoffs alive. Azerrail, on the other hand, recorded a home win in their matchup with Germany’s rookies Allianz MTV Stuttgart and are hoping to extend their winning streak in the competition.
All conditions are there for an exciting match that will definitely live up to the expectations of the local fans and will delight each and every member of Azerbaijan’s Volleyball family.
