Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Iran on November 23 to take part in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, Yuri Ushakov, the Russian presidential aide said, RIA Novosti reported.
The bilateral talks are planned to be held with the leaders of the participating countries, the statement said.
"We are preparing to take part in the third summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Tehran November 23,” Ushakov told reporters. “President Putin will attend the forum.”
However, he did not rule out the possibility of bilateral contacts.
Ushakov said that this will be a one-day visit.
