Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov.25
By Anakhanum Khidayatova – Trend:

Germany is unwilling to be dragged into the conflict on the Turkish-Syrian border, Yaakov Kedmi, the former head of the Israeli secret service NATIV, said in an exclusive interview with Trend Nov. 25.

He was commenting on withdrawing the Patriot missile defense systems by Berlin from Turkey.
Germany withdraws these systems from the Turkish territory in connection with the expiration of their three-year term of placement, the Turkish Anadolu news agency reported.

“In this case, the US will have to transfer the systems to Turkey not to weaken the defense system of the country,” he said.

The Patriot missile defense systems were deployed in Turkey upon a request of Ankara back in 2012 to protect the country from a possible missile attack from Syria.

However, some regions of Turkey were still subjected to missile attacks of radical groups in Syria.

The Turkish Air Force shot down the Russian military planes SU-24 in its airspace Nov. 24.
Both pilots managed to eject and the plane crashed on the territory of Syria.
