By Temkin Jafarov – Trend:

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s open letter, sent to the European youth Nov. 29, is aimed at curbing the expansion of Islamophobia, Esmail Kowsari, the member of the parliamentary commission on national security and foreign policy, said.

“The efforts were made to convince the western youth that this terror is a product of Islamic thought following the terrorist attacks in France in November,” he said.

"Ayatollah Khamenei’s letter to the US youth, and in particular, the European youth, says that European officials are telling a lie,” Kowsari told Trend. “Islam is a religion of peace. The Islamic world and Muslims suffer from terrorism and Islam never supported terrorism."

Ayatollah Khamenei sent a letter to the Western youth November 29 and stressed that today terrorism is a common misfortune.

Ayatollah said that the IS terrorist group was formed by uniting colonization and extremism and urged the European youth to seek the truth.

Several terrorist attacks occurred in Paris November 13. Some 128 people were killed and 250 people were injured following these attacks.
