Regional peace is impossible without Iran, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said as he is leading a political and economic delegation to Iran.
In a meeting with Iran’s First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri, Orban described his visit to Iran as his most interesting and fruitful professional experience, IRNA news agency reported November 30.
A group of 120 businessmen and officials from European countries’ banks are accompanying Orban during his Tehran visit.
The two sides also signed documents for cooperation in various sectors including health, ICT, tourism, culture, science and education as well as investment promotion, double taxation avoidance and prevention of tax evasion.
“Iran has been away from international trade, but Hungary is willing to help lift this uncommon situation,” Orban said.
“New relations have started for bilateral cooperation and I congratulate Iran for having endured the sanctions,” the Hungarian official stated.
Earlier in May, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani expressed his country’s readiness to develop political, economic, and cultural ties with Hungary during a meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
