Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that he would not avoid a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Belgrade, requested by Ankara, RIA Novosti reported.
He recalled that he held the talks with Cavusoglu the day after the incident and did not hear anything new.
"At present, the Turkish side urges to organize a meeting with the Turkish foreign minister on the sidelines of the Council of Foreign Ministers in Belgrade,” Lavrov said following the talks with his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides. “We will not avoid a meeting with Cavusoglu. Maybe we will hear something new."
