Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade has met a delegation led by Hungarian Ambassador to the country Imre Laslotsky on the sidelines of Bakutel 2015, the 21st Azerbaijan International Exhibition and Conference on Telecommunications and Information Technologies.
Elmir Velizade noted the existing opportunities for further development of cooperation between the two countries.
Highlighting the interest of Hungarian companies in the Azerbaijani market, Ambassador Laslotsky introduced the companies represented in the delegation.
The representatives of companies National Toll Payment Services PLC, and Persecutor Ltd. provided extensive and detailed information about the activities of their companies.
They highlighted the solutions for switching from toll road systems and existing potential for data processing centers.
The Azerbaijani Deputy Minister said certain steps have been taken in this direction in Azerbaijan. Speaking on the creation of the first data center in the region in accordance with the technical requirements of Uptime Institute’s level TIER III, the Deputy Minister noted that the center and technical staff is ready for operation, it is expedient to cooperate with Hungarian companies in the center’s future activities.
