Companies from 25 countries, including the United States, will participate in the 12th International Oil and Chemical Conference to be held in Iran, director general of the Iranian National Petrochemical Company Mohammad Hassan Peyvandi said, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported Dec.5.
He said that representatives of 97 companies from Canada, USA, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, Russia, the UK and other countries will become participants of the conference to be held December 14-15 in Tehran.
Peyvandi mentioned the growing interest of foreign companies in Iran against the backdrop of reaching an agreement within the framework of the nuclear talks and the imminent lifting of sanctions from the country.
He also said that representatives of 368 Iranian companies will participate at the conference.
Iran and the P5+1 (the United States, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany) announced a final accord, dubbed the JCPOA, curbing Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions against Tehran.
The IAEA has been given the role of verifying Iran’s commitments under the lasting nuclear deal.
