Iran on Sunday sympathized with the Republic of Azerbaijan after a fire incident in an oil platform in the Caspian Sea claimed the lives of a number of workers, IRNA reported.
'The Islamic Republic of Iran while condoling and sympathizing with the (Azerbaijan's) government, nation and bereaving families of the incident, expresses its readiness to the government of Azerbaijan to control the fire,' Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaber Ansari said in a statement.
