By Khalid Kazimov - Trend:

Iranian judiciary officials have arrested a physician and a nurse who reportedly refused to properly treat a five-year old boy and behaved cruelly towards him over financial issues.

A local judiciary official in Isfahan Province’s Khomeini Shahr town has said the physician and nurse, who work at a hospital in the town, have been summoned and kept in custody for further interrogation after the child’s mother filed a case against the medical team, IRNA news agency reported Dec. 7.

According to the report on Nov. 27, the boy received stitches on his chin in the hospital due to an injury, but the medical team removed the stitches because the parents were unable to pay off the medical costs.

Later, a medical official announced that the child was admitted in a hospital for further treatment and the Iranian Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi is personally following the case.
