Some 33 people died suffering from swine flu in two provinces of southwestern Iran in the last three weeks, Deputy Health Minister Ali-Akbar Sayyari said on Monday, IRNA reported.
28 people died in Kerman province and five in Sistan-Baluchestan from the swine flu outbreak, Sayyari said speaking to IRNA.
He warned that the H1N1 virus is likely to spread to other areas including the capital Tehran.
'The health ministry predicts that the virus will spread in the coming days to Tehran, West and East Azarbaijan and Kermanshah provinces more than to other areas,' he said.
