Baku City Circuit (BCC) will begin the online sale of tickets for the Formula 1 competition that will be held in Baku for the first time, and thus stepped up for the conducting of the European Grand Prix in June 2016, BCC told Trend.
Ticket sales will start simultaneously with marking the "last six months before the race", which will be held in the city on the same day. Celebrations will be held at the Baku Boulevard and will include a series of entertainment events, live musical performances and fireworks.
The start of ticket sales is one of the key stages in the organization of any large-scale sport event, Arif Rahimov, BCC Executive Director said.
The beginning of ticket sales, together with the activities of "the last six months before the race" will enhance the interest in the competition, which allows to feel the approach of the event, said Rahimov.
Formula 1 race cars in front of a multi-million audience, passing through the Old City in Baku, included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List, will sweep the main streets of the capital on 17-19 June 2016.
