By Samir Mammadov – Trend:
Deputy head of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) Fuad Gahramanli, who has been arrested for anti-government calls, intends to file a petition against the decision made in his regard by the Nasimi district court, Gahramanli’s lawyer Fakhraddin Mehdiyev told Trend Dec.9.
The lawyer said that the petition will be filed to the Baku Court of Appeal today, Dec.9.
“Gahramanli is charged under articles of the Criminal Code for incitement to violent seizure of power, forcible change of the constitutional order or violation of the territorial integrity of the country, distribution of materials of such content, as well as actions aimed at incitement of national, racial, social or religious enmity and hatred by using violence or the threat of its application,” said Mehdiyev.
“However, the deputy head of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party doesn’t agree with these accusations, and says that he only shared criticism in social networks.”
