Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec.11

By Elchin Mehdiyev – Trend:

Azerbaijan and Russia, which have close alliance relations, cannot act separately in the processes occurring in the region, the vice speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Bahar Muradova told reporters Dec.11.

“We have received appeals from Russian partners that the relations [of Russia] with Armenia and other countries are not directed against Azerbaijan,” Muradova said. “I would like to believe that sending helicopters to the Russian military base located in Armenia serves national and state interests of Russia, and they won’t clash against the interests of Azerbaijan.”

Russian media reported earlier that Russia delivered modern Mi-24P attack and transport Mi-8Mt helicopters to its aviation military base of the Southern military district of Armenia.
