Moroccan newspaper Al-Islah wa at-Tanmiya has published an article highlighting the “invaluable” services of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev to his country and people.
Headlined "President Heydar Aliyev…A living memory in Azerbaijan's history", the article hails Heydar Aliyev as an architect and founder of the modern, independent Azerbaijan.
“National leader Heydar Aliyev headed Azerbaijan for many years, playing a critical role in the restoration of independence, establishment of a new state. He devoted his whole life to the development of his people and motherland and construction of a new state,” the article says.
“Today Heydar Aliyev lives in the hearts of every citizen of Azerbaijan and will remain as a living memory in the modern history of the country.”
The article also hails Azerbaijan's dynamic development under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev who “remains loyal to the legacy and foreign policy of Heydar Aliyev. “Stable, democratic and economic reforms are being carried out in the country and Azerbaijan has become a reliable, strong partner in the context of international relations.”
The article says that 7th Islamic Summit held in Casablanca, Morocco in December 1994 which was attended by Heydar Aliyev was of great importance in terms of developing relations between Azerbaijan and the Islamic world.
