The embassy of Qatar in Azerbaijan organized an official reception to mark the country`s national holiday.
Opening the event, Qatar`s Ambassador to the country Sayar bin Abdurrahman al Maawdah said his country goes through a period of political, economic and cultural changes.
Touching upon bilateral relationship, the diplomat noted “it is developing successfully”. He pointed out friendly relations between Azerbaijan`s President and Emir of Qatar contribute to enhancing bilateral relationship even more.
He also expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries would deepen in economic, cultural and education spheres, as well.
Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov congratulated the people of Qatar on behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan.
The Minister said reciprocal visits gave a new impetus to steadily development of bilateral ties. Mr. Rahimov expressed hope that Qatar would be represented in the fourth Islamic Solidarity Games with a large delegation.
Officials, MPs, ambassadors and representatives of the society, attended the event.
