Baku, December 21, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations has hosted a ceremony to present "Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan is an example of tolerance" book. Addressing the event, Chairman of the State Committee Mubariz Gurbanli provided an insight into the book. He noted that the book includes decrees by President Ilham Aliyev on state-religion relations in 2003-2015, as well as his speeches and meetings, messages to participants of various international conferences, his visits to the holy places, congratulations to the heads of religious confessions. Gurbanli said the state-religion relations and policy in this area has been identified by President Ilham Aliyev. “The book includes all the ideas of President Ilham Aliyev on state-religion relations and it will be an important source for the representatives of various religions, theologians and researchers in the country.” Deputy Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Board (CMB) Gamar Javadli highlighted cooperation between the CMB and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations. The ceremony also heard speeches from Chairman of the Religious Community of Mountain Jews in Baku Milikh Yevdayev, bishop of the Baku and Azerbaijan eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church Alexander Ishein, Chairman of the Baku Community of European Jews Gennady Zelmanovich, Chairman of the Alban-Udi Christian Community Robert Mobili, Ordinary of the Apostolic Prefecture of the Roman Catholic Church in Azerbaijan Vladimir Fekete. They noted that Azerbaijan's tolerance model has become an example in the world, and stressed the importance of studying the country's experience in the field of tolerance.
