The Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member-states will coordinate the activity for 2016 at the next 69th session Dec. 23, the Russian Defense Ministry said, RIA Novosti reported.
The defense ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the Secretariat of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member-states will attend the event.
More than twenty issues in various areas of cooperation will be considered during the meeting.
"The bilateral meetings of defense ministers of the CIS member-states will be held,” the statement said. “The relevant issues of cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres are planned to be discussed. The plans of cooperation of defense ministries for 2016 are planned to be approved."
