Teenagers may get banned from social networks in Turkey

Turkey may adopt a law to block the access of teenagers to social networks, the country’s Family and Social Policies Minister Sema Ramazanoglu said.

She said that currently, as part of the social program, the minimum age requirement for teenagers for using such social networks as Twitter, Facebook and Youtube is under discussion in Turkey, Milliyet newspaper reported Dec.24.

The minister pointed out that teenagers are banned from using Youtube in some European countries.
