Turkey can face new cyber attacks on the websites of state institutions, Sabah newspaper reported Dec.25.
Reportedly, the cyber attacks threaten especially the country’s law enforcement bodies.
Over 40,000 websites with “tr” domain extension have experienced cyber attacks over the last 10 years.
Websites of Turkey’s Transportation, Maritime and Communications Ministry and the Central Notary System were attacked Dec. 24 by hackers. Some operations were suspended as a result.
Earlier, some media outlets reported that during the last two weeks, Turkish websites have come under attacks by the Anonymous hacker group.
