Roya Taghiyeva, the Director of the Azerbaijani Carpet Museum, has been sent into the retirement, Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev said at a board meeting Dec. 25.
“Seventy one-year-old Taghiyeva will leave the post from January 1, 2016,” he said.
Thanking Taghiyeva for her work, the minister added that the senior curator of the museum Mira Mammadkhanova will temporarily be the acting director.
