The Georgian parliament passed a majority vote of confidence for the new government led by Prime Minister Georgy Kvirikashvili, Sputnik reported.
Eighty-six lawmakers backed the new Cabinet and its proposed program while 26 lawmakers voted against.
"The new government led by Kvirikashvili has been approved by the majority of the votes," Speaker David Usupashvili said.
Kvirikashvili, 48, served as foreign minister before being nominated for prime minister following Irakly Garibashvili's resignation last Wednesday.
