Arriving by sea, gunmen stormed the Bella Vista hotel in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city of Hurghada.
According to Reuters, two foreign tourists were injured when attackers opened fire at the entrance of the resort. The gunmen were killed by police, according to Husam Shair of Egypt's Chamber of Tourism Companies
While it remains unclear who carried out the attack, Daesh, also known as IS/the Islamic State, claimed responsibility for a similar incident in Egypt on Thursday.
Hurghada is located across the sea from the Sharm El-Sheikh, the resort town where Daesh militants allegedly planted bombs on a Russian passenger plane in October.
