An Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov, is participating in the annual meeting of the Board of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Annual Meeting brought together over three thousand representatives consisting of ministers, high ranking government officials, business people and heads of central banks of member countries, international financial institutions and civil society institutions, as well as outstanding scientists and experts.
The Asian Development Bank was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
