Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hikmat Hajiyev has said polling stations will be set up in 40 countries when Azerbaijan will vote in a referendum on constitutional amendments next month. “In accordance with Azerbaijan`s Constitution and the Election Code, polling stations will be set up in our diplomatic missions to fully ensure election rights of Azerbaijani citizens who live abroad or who are on a long-term business assignment outside the country. We plan to organize polling stations in diplomatic missions in nearly 40 countries.”
“We have already submitted the list of the embassies and consulates where polling stations will be organized and overall information about the number of citizens to the Central Election Commission, ” Hajiyev said.
