An action dedicated to setting up of the “Chevening” Alumni Association was held here.

British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Carole Crofts said the Great Britain remains the main foreign country where the Azerbaijani students wish to educate. She stressed the importance of the students association, noting that so far 170 Azerbaijani students have benefitted the relevant program and continued to educate in the Great Britain. The “Chevening” program promotes their abilities on global level, enables to acquire professional, academic skills and experience, and is a unique opportunity to set positive contacts with this country.

According to the Ambassador, the Embassy has done a lot within this program since 1994 that still continues promoting the level of bilateral relations between the Great Britain and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Narmin Rahbarli, head of the “Chevening” Alumni Association highlighted the future activities of Association, called the students to be more active.
