Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict should be solved on base of resolutions of UN Security Council said President of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil Rodrigo Maia as he met Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov.
Mr. Asadov said Rodrigo Maia`s visit would contribute to development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
On inter-parliamentary ties, the Speaker emphasized the role of friendship group. He said reciprocal visits of parliamentarians created fruitful opportunity for strengthening relations. Mr. Asadov stressed the significance of developing economic relations, as well as arranging the business forum for deepening cooperation.
Mr. Asadov thanked the Government of Brazil for supporting Azerbaijan`s just position in settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Rodrigo Maia stressed the significance of further enhancing relations between the two countries. On tourism relations, the President highlighted the necessity of popularization of Azerbaijan in Brazil.
Ogtay Asadov said according to the Order of President Ilham Aliyev, Rodrigo Maia was awarded with the honorary diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for his services in development of friendly relations between the two countries. then, Speaker Ogtay Asadov presented a honorary diploma to Rodrigo Maia.
