President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva has attended the international investment forum “Invest Gagauzia” in Moldova.
Attending the event, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Togrul Turkes remarked the progress made by Moldova in the last period, noting that Turkey was an important partner of Moldova. At the same time, the Turkish official said there was potential for increasing the bilateral trade exchanges.
Gunay Afandiyeva has visited and laid flowers to the bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
As part of the Forum, president Gunay Afandiyeva has met Governor of Gagauzia Irina Vlah.
Gunay Afandiyeva highlighted the aims of the Foundation. She added the Foundation was established with the initiative of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and with the support of heads of the states of member countries.
President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva said Gagauz people were an important part of the Turkic world. The President also stressed the significance of protection of Gagauz language, as well as its traditions and cultural heritage.
Irina Vlah highlighted the importance of cooperation with the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, adding this cooperation would give positive results in terms of realizing joint projects.
They discussed prospects of cooperation, as well as arranging the joint projects aiming to promote and protect the historical-cultural heritage of Gagauz people.
