Tbilisi, November 8, AZERTAC

“We put a special emphasis on the development of trilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan and Turkey. This is very important for us,” said Georgian Minister of Defence Levan Izoria as he was interviewed by journalists.

“Priorities of relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey have already been set both in bilateral and trilateral formats and we continue our activities in line with these priorities. Presently, we are working to elevate our trilateral cooperation to a higher level and we will definitely reach the goals set,” he said.

“Azerbaijan is a close neighbor and a friendly country for Georgia. We enjoy good relations.”

Izoria also underlined the significance of Georgia`s cooperation with NATO to the region.

“Turkey is a member of NATO. We closely cooperate with both Turkey and NATO. NATO will carry out its first military training in a non-member country – Georgia – on November 10. I think this is indicative of excellent relations between Georgia and NATO,” he added.
