Azerbaijan`s outgoing ambassador to China Latif Gandilov has been named an honorary professor of the Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Addressing the award giving ceremony, president of the university Peng Long said the title recognizes Gandilov`s contribution to the development of Azerbaijani-Chinese ties. Long also praised the ambassador`s role in improving the bilateral educational cooperation.
Gandilov spoke of the development of relations between the two countries. He also highlighted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s state visit to China, describing it as an important contribution to the expansion of trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
