Estonia is joining the International North-South Transport Corridor, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Igbal Huseynov said.
He said Azerbaijan Railways is now holding negotiations with Estonian Railways, whose port of Paldiski will connect to the North-South route.
According to Huseynov, goods from Estonia will be transported through the port of Paldiski to Iran and Persian Gulf via Russia and Azerbaijan.
He said the next meeting will be held in the first 10 days of December, bringing together railway authorities of Azerbaijan, Estonia, Iran and Russia.
The International North-South Transport Corridor is meant to connect Northern Europe with Southeast Asia. It will serve as a link connecting the railways of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia.
