Baku, December 9, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan and the European Union have signed a funding agreement of the Integrated Regional Development of Azerbaijan program.
The agreement was signed by Azerbaijani economy minister, chairman of the State Commission for European Integration Shahin Mustafayev and head of the EU Delegation to the country Malena Mard.
With a total funding of 14.5 million euros, the program addresses the institutional environment within which rural small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
and family owned farms do their business. It will also provide dedicated business support services and carry out various outreach actions (e.g.: awareness campaigns, proentrepreneurial initiatives and investor attraction) to help create demand for agricultural products manufactured in Azerbaijan.
