Azerbaijan and the US are not only close friends, but also strategic partners, said US State Department Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs, Amos Hochstein, at a press conference in Baku. He spoke of the meetings held during the visit.
Amos Hochstein stated that US will continue its efforts towards the implementation of the "Southern Gas Corridor" project.
“It is important for Azerbaijan, at the same time, it is one of the projects to ensure energy and political security in Europe. US considers this project as strategic as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan”, he added.
Commenting on the TAP Project, Amos Hochstein said that during the implementation of multilateral projects, in various stages, some difficulties can be created by local community and politicians.
With the participation of project partners, we can solve these problems based on a consortium, he added.
