The statement condemned so-called "parliamentary elections" to be held in Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan on 3 May 2015 by the separatist regime, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan told APA.
The statement said that the Pakistani government and people having friendly and brotherly relations with Azerbaijan expresses full support and solidarity with Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh problem and condemns the illegal Armenian occupation of Azerbaijani territories.
“UN Security Council’s resolutions #822, 853, 874, 884, supporting Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty, must be fulfilled, the rule of law must be ensured and the occupation must be stopped”.
The statement also noted that the Senate Defense Committee, which is represented by all Pakistani provinces and main political parties, reaffirms its solidarity with the Azerbaijani people, especially with the ones who are from the occupied Azerbaijani territories, and supports a peaceful resolution to the conflict in accordance with the international law and the UN Charter and resolutions based on the universal norms of justice.
