Turkmenistan’s parliamentary speaker Akja Nurberdieva has received the credentials of Egyptian ambassador to the country, the message from Turkmen government said April 23.
Egypt’s Ambassador Mohamed Abdelsattar Mohamed el-Badri put forward a number of proposals on expanding bilateral ties, the message said.
The sides named the trade and economic sphere, science and education as the priority areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Egypt.
They emphasized the need to develop the Interparliamentary relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the diplomat was briefed about the large-scale socio-economic projects that are being implemented in Turkmenistan.
Moreover, the prospects for partnership between the two countries were discussed with the Egyptian ambassador in Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry.
