Canakkale. Mayiz Alizade – APA. A ceremony kicked off in Turkey to mark the 100th anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Canakkale.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is attending the ceremony.
The ceremony is attended by the presidents of 21 countries, including government heads and ministers of different countries.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Britain's Prince Charles first laid wreaths at the memorial erected in honor of the Turkish martyrs, and then the national anthem of Turkey was played.
Following the ceremony, a gala dinner will be hosted on the yacht “Savarona” on behalf of the Turkish president for heads of state and government, and delegation heads.
