Rules changed for registration of foreign NGOs in Azerbaijan

 Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. The rules for registration of local and foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Azerbaijan have been changed.

APA reports that according to the Rules on “State registration of non-profit organizations and educational institutions”, an application shall be submitted to the registration body (Justice Ministry).

 

 The documents attached to the application shall include the copy of permission card for residence in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in case that the founder(s) and legal representative(s) are foreigners or stateless persons with the right of permanent residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

Under the amendments made by the Collegium of the Azerbaijani Justice Ministy to the Rules on “State registration of non-profit organizations and educational institutions”, then the application shall be attached the permission card for permanent residence of the founder(s) and legal representative(s) of non-governmental organizations, as well as legal representative(s) of branches and representative offices of foreign NGOs, in case that they are foreigners or stateless persons with the right of permanent residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
