Baku. Malahet Najafova – APA. “The commission on delimitation and demarcation of the Georgia-Azerbaijan borders has held its last meeting in June of this year,” said Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan Teymuraz Sharashenidze, APA reported.

According to the ambassador, the Azerbaijani side’s head of the commission, Deputy FM Khalaf Khalafov and Georgian head of the commission David Jalagania have had a meeting.

“Outlines have been defined and the process is going on,” he said.

The diplomat added that the disputed Keshikchi dagh issue has been considered too.

The ambassador expressed his attitude about the fact that a Gakh priest has not been allowed to enter Azerbaijan because he was not an Azerbaijan citizen, noting that representatives of the Georgian Patriarchate have come to Azerbaijan for this matter.

“They have met with Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli and Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Allahshukur Pashazadeh. The issue is being settled in line with Azerbaijan’s legislation. According to Azerbaijani law, all clerics must have Azerbaijani citizenship. There have been comprises for some time but it can not continue for a long time. They will determine their representatives who are Azerbaijani citizens and everything will fall into place,” said the diplomat.
