Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Snam S.p.A, an Italy-based company engaged in the management of natural gas services, will make a decision on acquisition of stake in Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) by the end of this year, said the Snap S.p.A CEO Carlo Malacarne.
Malacarne considers they will have more information by the end of this year.
He also noted that Italy’s annual gas demand increased 5% to 70-71 bcm of gas this year.
Earlier, Malacarne told Reuters that the company has started evaluation works since June to acquire 20%-share in TAP.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in his visit to Italy on June 9 that Azerbaijani side is not against acquisition of share by Italian "Snam S.p.A." in TAP.
