By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend:

Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu ensures that parliamentary election will take place in the country’s south-eastern regions without any incidents, according to TRT Haber.

He said the statements made by some opposition leaders claiming that the unstable situation in Turkey’s south-eastern provinces wouldn’t allow holding parliamentary election there, do not reflect reality.

Earlier, the leader of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), Selahattin Demirtas said the tense political situation in the south-eastern provinces of Turkey wouldn’t allow holding parliamentary election there.

Turkey will hold the repeated parliamentary election on November 1.

On Aug. 13, a final meeting was held in Turkey between Davutoglu and the leader of the oppositional Republican People’s Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

During the talks, the parties failed to agree on creating a coalition government.

Afterwards the Turkish PM said his country will repeatedly hold parliamentary election.

Turkey held parliamentary election June 7, which involved 20 political parties. Over 53 million people cast their votes in the election.

During the parliamentary election, Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party garnered 40.9 percent of the vote, while the Republican People's Party (CHP) gained 25 percent; aside from that the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) got 16.3 percent, and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) garnered 13.1 percent of the vote.
