Novruz Mammadov, the deputy head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, director of the Administration’s Foreign Relations Department, commented on British PM Cameron’s remarks on Catalonia that it will be expelled from the EU and will face the task of reapplying for membership if they attempt to succeed from Spain.
“Now that’s what I call a principled position. Prime Minister Cameron literally threatened independence-driven. That said, Mr. Cameron seems to deem appropriate for Bako Sahakyan to visit London, hold meetings and deliver speeches. Perhaps, they intend to welcome the so-called “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” into the EU should Catalonia exit,” Mammadov tweeted on Sept.5.
