ICRC representatives visit Armenian scout being held in Azerbaijan

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have visited an Armenian prisoner of war who was captured in Aghdam in December.

Spokesperson for the ICRC Baku Office, Ilaha Huseynova, said in a statement APA that the visit took place on February 18. The prisoner was informed about his family and his family about him.  
 
Note that, in the evening of December 26th, an Armenian reconnaissance-sabotage group made an attempt to cross the contact line of troops in the Aghdam section of the front line.
 
Thanks to the high vigilance of Azerbaijan’s frontal units, this attempt of the enemy was detected in advance and prevented, the Defense Ministry reported.
 
After a short firefight, enemy forces suffered heavy losses and were forced to retreat. One member of the Armenian reconnaissance-sabotage group, Bagdasaryan Arsen Edwardovich, a professional serviceman, was captured.
 
Under the verdict of the Ganja Court on Grave Crimes is sentenced to 15-year imprisonment in a maximum security prison.
