Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. The plane carrying the first group of Azerbaijani pilgrims back home from Saudi Arabia landed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Baku on Tuesday, the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) told APA.
Two more flights are likely to be implemented from the Jeddah airport after 9:00PM.
Despite the fact that the arrival of the first plane in Baku had been scheduled at 05:00AM, the flight was delayed.
The CMO has related the flight delays to the existing crowd at the Jeddah airport and poor organization by the Saudi Arabian airlines.
Azerbaijani pilgrims waiting at the airport for next flights have raised objections over the long delays.
They told APA that they have been waiting at the airport for 24 hours now. Officials responsible for flight delays do not make any statement to them. Pilgrims said no one cares about them. “We still have no idea when next flight will take place,” said pilgrims.
They added that one of them had a health problem and was taken to hospital.
